What happens during the procedure?

After having an initial consultation with you to examine and assess your facial structure, features, and areas of concern, Dr. Maercks will administer a series of injections directly into the skin of your face in a quick session that takes under 30 minutes. He will select the type of dermal filler based on your unique needs and aesthetic goals, or he may recommend facial fat grafting. If facial fat grafting is used, the procedure may take a little longer as fat will need to be removed from another area of the body before it is injected into areas of the face. 

Recovery and results

Recovery time is very minimal with Aesthetic Facial Balancing, as the treatment is non-invasive (or minimally invasive if fat grafting is done). Patients can expect some temporary swelling, bruising, and perhaps numbness — but this is common and will subside quickly. Depending on the type of filler(s) used, results can be seen either immediately or up to one week.
