Cold-Subfascial Breast Augmentation©Patient had a mild deflation of the breast, requesting a ‘full and lifted’ appearance.Procedure: Subfascial Breast AugmentationDr. Maercks’ Recommendation: A transaxillary approach was selected, leaving no scars on the breast. The implants are placed subfascially, giving a naturally draped appearance of the superior pole of the breast and providing enduring implant support for longevity of the aesthetic result. A more naturally appearing breast is achieved with the fascia supporting the implant, avoiding weight and pressure on the breast envelope. An additional benefit is that the breasts will not change shape with arm movement as they would with standard subpectoral and dual plane techniques. A 360 mL silicone cohesive gel implant was selected with ideal dimensions, followed by developing a precise fascial sling for implant placement.
